Crimping and Valve/ Line kill
Where a redundant pipe needs to be permanently isolated
Furmanite can “crimp” the line flat. Crimping alone will not usually create a 100% seal. The usual procedure is to make two crimps a short distance apart and fill the intervening section of pipe with compound

It is also possible to make a single crimp close to a valve – and then inject compound between the crimp and the valve
