Valve covers

Our valve covers are designed to fit 95% of the equipment used today that measure up to 25″ (635 mm) high and 50″ (1270mm) in diameter.

Flange covers

Furmanite offers two types of flange covers. Type 1 – suitable for welded and back-welded joints where leakage is likely only between flanges. Type 2 –for joints where leakage is possible between pipe and flange, as well as between flanges.

Special application covers

For equipment such as pumps, instrumentation, or machines in exposed and/or hazardous locations, Fumanite can manufacture custom one-off Milsheff covers.

Milsheff Valve and Flange Covers – Immediate Leak Awareness Throughout Your Plant

Without question, the number one priority at your plant should be personnel and plant safety. There’s no such thing as ‘too many preventative measures.’ Milsheff spray-stop valve and flange covers play an important role in plant safety because they are designed to protect employees and equipment against harmful chemical pipeline leaks.

The covers detect mist or spray leakages and alert you to the problem by changing color. The residue then falls harmlessly to the floor instead of spraying adjacent areas and injuring personnel. In addition, the cover’s color will change based on chemical it is subjected to (i.e. sulphuric acid – off-white; hydrobromic acid – bright yellow). The Milsheff cover does not react, however, to external attack from chemicals.

Milsheff covers can be produced to any size in order to ensure correct fitting for all makes, types of equipment, and onsite conditions. Our covers are effective for temperatures up to 220°F (104°C).
