First DIY Leak-Sealing Kit

First do-it-yourself leak sealing kits were developed and marketed by Clay Furman with the collaboration of a fellow employee, until the US Navy reviewed it favorably in the “Bulletin of Engineering Information” on Nov 1926 after practical evaluation on two of their Steam propelled vessels (Milville and Memphis).
