Furmanite America has introduced an innovative new valve asset management program, to enable owners and operators of process and production plants to track and efficiently manage their entire relief valve asset inventory, across multiple plants where applicable, and help reduce through-life costs.
Furmanite’s new web-based ValveOne program provides real-time monitoring of all of a customer’s relief valves (in service and in storage), with comprehensive records of location, application, valve properties, certification, maintenance history, and repair and testing frequency requirements, for every valve. The system can be securely accessed by the customer from any internet-enabled computer, and customized reports can be viewed or printed, allowing the complete relief valve inventory to be monitored in detail at any time.
| The program will not only help to simply keep an efficient log of potentially tens of thousands of relief valves and their current status, condition and history, but also to plan effectively for future maintenance outages; |
|
maintain valve maintenance schedules;
implement a predictive/preventive maintenance approach;
keep track of stock and order spare parts;
identify any recurring problems;
monitor costs tied-up in inventory;
provide real-time tracking of repair status during a maintenance program. |
The ValveOne program can be interrogated to search by customer, valve, application, or repair criteria. In each case, searches can be refined by selected criteria. For example, within a customer’s named plant or plant unit, valves could be identified by anything from tag, serial number, model and manufacturer to current set pressure or orifice, or next test or repair due. The columns of information shown can also be customized. Searches can be named and saved.
For any repair, full job details can be viewed, from location and valve details, to the level of repair required and the reason, as well as any pre-test requirement. Full documentation also shows who performed previous repair work. As each portion of the repair is completed, the repair status is displayed.
As the valve is disassembled, the as-found condition is documented in the program. This includes logging replacement parts needed, which automatically populates a parts requisition that is emailed to the given address, with entry of a purchase order number confirming that the parts have been ordered. Test information and results and quality control check-off are also documented.
A full history report detailing all maintenance and testing and certification can be called up at any time on a per valve basis. As work is carried out by Furmanite the program is updated. The records are maintained and hosted by Furmanite, and are available for customer access for reference and future maintenance planning.
