QUALITECH LINE STOPS FITTINGS
Qualitech Style Line Stop fittings are available in both mechanical and weld on styles.
The “QT” linestop was originally developed by Furmanite for use by natural gas utilities. They are for use in low pressure piping system from ¾” – 6”.
SPHERICAL TEE LINE STOP FITTINGS
Spherical Tee Line Stop fittings manufactured by Furmanite are perfect for making lateral connections or for relocating pipe systems without shutdown. The advantage to the Spherical Tee is the low profile design and that you can have your new branch connection at the same plane as the existing header pipe. During the design phase of your project please consider that Spherical Tee fittings create flow turbulence, pressure drops downstream, and are not suitable for pipeline pigging.
SURE-STOP LINE STOP FITTINGS
Sure-Stop fittings manufactured by Furmanite are perfect for making lateral connections to large diameter pipe (above 14”), for pipeline relocations, and for Line Stops on critical piping systems on lines with irregularities (out of round or internal deposits) or with hazardous contents that require a complete positive shut down. Sure-Stop fittings can be equipped with butt weld prepped bottom-outlets for line relocations or can be used as straight stopper fittings. For lines smaller than 12” Furmanite has chosen Mueller Company as our supplier of choice for Line Stopper fittings of this style design.
HOT TAP AND LINE STOP NON-REINFORCED NOZZLE FITTINGS
Non-Reinforced Hot Tap and Line Stop Nozzles or “Nipples” are perfect for branch connections into low pressure or in many reduced branch applications. Hot Tap Nozzles provide an economical means for making 
Hot Taps and Line Stops in applications where full encirclement split tee fittings are unnecessary. Reinforcing Pads, Reinforcing Saddles, or Reinforcing Split Sleeves can provide additional pipe reinforcement when used in conjunction with the Nozzle style tapping fitting.
SPLIT SLEEVE BOLTED MECHANICAL HOT TAPPING AND LINE STOPPING FITTINGS
Furmanite provides a complete line of High and Low pressure Split Mechanical Bolted Hot Tapping and Line Stop fittings and sleeves. The Bolt-On style of Fitting are utilized in situations where welding is either not an option or is too hazardous to perform. The Split Sleeve Mechanical Hot Tap fitting and Split Sleeve mechanical Line Stop fitting are available in a variety of configurations. Common options include gripper rings, hinge plates, sealant injection ports, special coatings, and remote installation prep for sub-sea Hot Tap applications.
WATER MAIN AND SEWER FORCE MAIN TAPPING, LINE STOPPING, AND BYPASS FITTINGS
Furmanite carries a complete line of Wet Tapping and Line stopping sleeves for the potable water and waste water industries. Fitting are available for all common pipe materials including cast / ductile iron pipe, pre-stressed concrete cylinder pipe, PVC, PE, Transite, Reinforced Concrete pipe and Carbon Steel. Tapping Sleeves are available constructed from Stainless steel, ductile iron, and carbon steel with optional epoxy coating and stainless steel bolts. Tapping Concrete Pipe has been a specialty of Furmanite’s for over 50 years.
3-WAY STYLE LINE STOP FITTINGS
3-Way Split Tee and Nozzle Style Line Stop and Hot Tap fittings provide an economical means of performing a pipe / pipeline relocation or for making a lateral branch connection without shutdown or interruption to flow. 3-Way Fittings used for pipeline relocation are perfect for applications where ground cover is not a concern and when raising the existing pipes elevation is desirable. Lateral tee branch connections can be performed on natural gas pipelines or lines carrying other products without the necessity to leave a buried valve behind.
