Joseph Milliron Named Chief Operating Officer for Furmanite Worldwide
Houston, Texas (August 8, 2005) – Furmanite, the world’s first and one of the largest industrial specialty maintenance service companies, announced today that Joseph Milliron will join the organization as Chief Operating Officer (COO) Worldwide. Reporting directly to Jeff Chick, CEO, Milliron will oversee all areas of operations, including sales and marketing; contract services and specialty products; safety and quality insurance. Furmanite currently has more than 1,000 employees in 40 offices across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America and Australia.

In addition to operations oversight across multiple divisions and countries, Milliron will also focus much of his energy on increasing Furmanite’s market penetration. Furmanite provides a variety of specialized industrial services to industries including petrochemical and refinery, chemical, oil and gas, power generation, pulp and paper, pharmaceutical, and national defense.

Prior to joining Furmanite, Milliron served as Chief Executive Officer of Cooperheat – MQS, Inc., an industrial sales company with more than $100 million in annual revenues. As CEO, he was responsible for penetrating market share and leading his company to the number one market position in each of the two primary services offered. Under Milliron’s leadership the MQS division moved from third in the market to number one in three years. From 1980 to 1991, Milliron worked in a variety of positions including upper management for North American Refractories.
