Furmanite’s Newest Team Member Focuses on Market Penetration, Increased Profits

Houston, Texas (May 26, 2005) – Furmanite, the world’s first and largest industrial specialty maintenance service company, announced today that Bob Dierkes has joined Furmanite North America as Regional Sales Manager. Dierkes is responsible for the Company’s Western Region, expanding from Alaska to Hawaii and Montana to New Mexico.

“Dierkes is an exceptional addition to the Furmanite national sales force. His extensive experience will be invaluable in reaching our goal of expanding market share and reaching new customers,” said Gary Gardner, President of Furmanite North America.

As the Western Regional Sales Manager, Dierkes will oversee all sales operations including identifying and increasing sales opportunities, interfacing with the sales force and increasing market share. “Furmanite is a Company with a stellar reputation for unique engineered solutions and superior customer service,” said Bob Dierkes. “I’m confident we will be able to significantly grow our market share in existing and new industries by introducing customers to the numerous value added services and benefits we provide.”

Current customers that are located in Dierkes’s Western Region include Shell Oil, Exxon/Mobil, Valero and ConocoPhillips in the petrochemical and refinery industry, and Mirant, Arizona Public Service and Southern California Edison in the Power industry. According to Dierkes, his plans include targeting new markets, including pulp and paper mills, and expanding service lines in fugitive emissions and increasing revenue via turnarounds and the bundling of services.

Prior to joining Furmanite, Dierkes acquired more than 27 years experience working with onsite specialty contractors. After becoming a shareholder with Cooperheat, he left to assist in the start up of Thermal Solutions. After five years within the industry, he then made the jump to Team Industrial Services after it acquired Thermal Solutions. At Team, he was responsible for integrating Thermal Solutions into Team’s Industrial Services Group.
