CUSTOMER: PGS Production

PROBLEM: Manning constraints coupled with tight time schedules made a full valve re-certification programme a difficult prospect on the Banff FPSO.

SOLUTION: The valve ‘healthcare package’, provided by Furmanite, avoids the usual drawn out and complex process of valve re-certification for the operator.  Records of the valves are built together with their descriptions, locations, functions, and repairs, enabling efficient project management. Certification and valve test requirements are assessed and from this data a full schedule of testing and repairs is established.  Furmanite worked within very tight time periods throughout the project, and be flexible due to the manning constraints onboard the FPSO.

OUTCOME: A full re-certification service on all safety and relief valves has brought significant savings for PGS Production on the Banff FPSO.
